Flight information
Air: Leave USA and fly into Rome FCO airport
First Tour: Depature April 4, 2027, arrive in Rome April 5
Return date: Arpil 15 unless adding extra Rome post-nights
Second Tour: Depart April 16, 2027, arrive in Rome April 17 unless adding extra Rome pre-nights
Return date: April 27
NOTE: The dates are for the base trip which includes one night in Rome-area at start of tour and one night in Rome-area at end of tour.
Deposits / Financial details / Cancellation policy
COST: Base price for tour is $3,195 *Note of possible bus fuel surcharge. Although unlikely, due to the volatility of the current fuel costs, there could be a possibility in future of a surcharge from the bus companies if things do not stabilize. We do not think this likely and have never implemented this on any tour, but it is a possibility at time of final payment.
Single occupancy upgrade from $838 There are some upgrade choices for our Umbria hotel, including single occupancy options listed in above table.
First deposit: $700 due upon sign-up plus extra $50 per person per night for any extra Rome nights pre / post trip. First deposit is non-refundable. Don’t get trip insurance until trip hits minimum ‘it’s a go’ level. If it does not reach this minimum (this almost never happens) your deposit is of course refunded. But once it is a go, then the deposit should be protected by a policy. Initial deposit form must be filled out and emailed to us with first deposit. Link to this form below.
Second deposit: $700 due December 15, 2026.
Final payment: January 31, 2027

Paypal: Our goal is to offer quality trips at the best prices we can to our friends. Our prices are based on payment by check or Zelle. However, it is possible to pay using PayPal on our site, but there is a 3% surcharge to do so. The link for PayPal is on home page.

Cancellation policy: First deposit fully non-refundable. Cancellation after final payment has been made will result in loss of all unrecoverable funds, to be determined by Morningstar.
How to get on board this tour
A $700 deposit is due upon sign-up.

We highly recommend you protect your trip with a Trip Insurance policy. It protects your trip in case of accident or illness that prevents you going, as well as on-trip incidents such as lost luggage, trip delay, and most importantly medical coverage and evacuation. Currency adjustment possibility: There is a chance the Euro could strengthen between the time of deposit and the time of final payment in January. This is a risk with foreign travel. This could result in a increase in the final payment amount due.
Small local room taxes: There may be a small local room tax of a euro or two a night per room. It depends on the locale. These are not included and if applicable, will be added to each room’s final bill, payable individually at checkout.
Mimimum trip size: The trip price is based on 25 paying participants. There will be an adjustment on the base price as per below:
24 paying participants: +$45
23 paying participants: +55
22 paying participants:+65
21 paying participants: +75
CRITICAL PASSPORT NOTE: Your passport cannot expire within 6 months of trip dates. If it is even close, get a new one. Further, if your passport has damaged cover or pages OR if it does not have empty pages for stamps, get a new one.
GRATUITY POLICY At the end of each stay, guests are invited to contribute to a collective “thank you” for staff. Contributions are voluntary, with a suggested guide of approximately €200 per person for a 12-day tour. This amount is shared among servers, housekeeping, and drivers.
